With a Fresh Vision for the Future

Almena Meat Company was established in November 1988 by Brad and Kay Rundhaug, who built a reputation for quality, integrity and personal service in the heart of Northwest Wisconsin. For more than 35 years, the business earned the trust of local families, farmers and hunters with expert butchering, custom livestock processing, and handcrafted sausage made with time-honored recipes.

In 2024, ownership transitioned to a new team of local producers and ranchers with deep roots in agriculture and a shared commitment to carrying the torch forward. While the traditions and values of Almena Meat Company remain firmly in place, we’ve implemented facility upgrades, enhanced food safety standards and modernized processing systems to raise the bar for both quality and consistency.
